Contact: tnguyen.firearmsinstructor@gmail.com

1) Purpose and scope

This policy explains how TGA creates, uses, and protects images, audio, and video captured in connection with our courses, events, and online properties. It covers media we create, media you provide to us, and third-party media displayed on our channels. We follow U.S. copyright law and applicable privacy laws. For minors, we follow the FTC’s COPPA framework where applicable.

2) Ownership of TGA content

All photos, videos, graphics, and written content created by or for TGA are owned by TGA and protected by U.S. copyright law. Unless we grant written permission, you may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content. Limited sharing via platform “share” features is allowed where the platform itself enables it.

3) Student privacy, consent, and release

  • We obtain consent before using images or videos that identify students or guests for public or commercial purposes. Where a person is recognizable, we use a signed media release unless an exception applies.

  • If a person or their guardian does not consent, we will exclude them from recording areas when feasible or blur/obscure identifying features in post-production to protect privacy.

  • Texas recognizes rights in one’s name, image, and likeness. We do not publish your image for commercial purposes without appropriate consent.

4) Minors

We require verifiable parental or legal-guardian consent before collecting, using, or disclosing personal information from children under 13, including identifiable photos or video, in line with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Rule (COPPA). If we learn we have unintentionally collected such information without consent, we will delete it promptly.

5) Private classes and restricted filming

Some courses are designated private, reserved, or closed-cohort. Recording by participants may be limited or prohibited. We may mark certain zones as no-recording areas for safety or privacy. Participants must follow staff instructions on when and where recording is allowed.

6) Your media was shared with us

When you voluntarily submit photos or videos to TGA (for example, by email or upload) you represent that you have the necessary rights to share them and you grant TGA a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, and display that media for course administration, safety documentation, and marketing, unless you limit your permission in writing.

7) Permitted and prohibited uses by students

  • You may take personal, non-commercial photos for your own use, with where staff's permission.

  • You may not publish or sell photos or videos captured in our classes that depict other students or staff without their consent. This protects privacy and right-of-publicity interests.

  • You may not remove watermarks, metadata, or safety notices from TGA media.

8) Third-party platforms

If we post on platforms such as YouTube, Instagram, or others, the platform’s terms apply in addition to this policy. Where platforms provide reporting or age-designation tools, we use them and expect participants to comply with platform rules meant to protect children’s privacy.

9) Copyright complaints and takedown requests (DMCA)

If you believe our site or channels host content that infringes your copyright, send a DMCA notice to our designated agent at tnguyen.firearmsinstructor@gmail.com with:

  • your signature,

  • identification of the copyrighted work,

  • the exact URL(s) to the allegedly infringing material,

  • your contact information, and

  • a good-faith statement and accuracy attestation.
We process valid notices and may remove or disable access to the content per 17 U.S.C. §512. U.S.

10) Privacy requests and opt-outs

If you appear in our media and want us to remove or blur your image on privacy grounds, email tnguyen.firearmsinstructor@gmail.com with the page link and a description or screenshot. We will assess and respond consistent with applicable law, including any regional consent standards such as GDPR, where relevant to the requester.

11) Safety and context integrity

We do not publish content that reveals sensitive security procedures, entry controls, or personally identifying data beyond what is necessary for education and safety communications. We may crop or blur images to prevent misuse or doxxing.

12) No waiver of rights

TGA’s failure to enforce any part of this policy is not a waiver of TGA’s rights in any instance or for any similar future instance.

13) Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect legal, safety, or operational changes. The “Last updated” date will change with any revision. Material changes will be announced on this page or via email if appropriate.
